Eight people were killed and 11 others injured in a clash between bus and microbus in Chittagong's Lohagara area.
The accident occurred on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway in Chunti area of the upazila on Wednesday night, said OC Saidul Islam of Chiganga outpost of Highway Police.
A bus from Cox's Bazar-facing 'Relax' Paribahan collided head-on with a microbus opposite the opposite side.At least eight people, including a child and two women, died on the spot.
Injured 11 people were rescued and sent to different hospitals.Saidul Islam said that the microbus was transporting passengers from different areas.
All of the dead were on board the microbus.Satkania fire station senior station officer. Idris said that the microbus was swept away in the accident.
The bus fell into the rice fields on the left side of the road.
