China is interested in establishing equipment in Bangladesh
China's businessmen interested in setting up machineries manufacturing plants with increased investment in Bangladesh. Members of the delegation of Yunnan province of Motijheel, Dhaka Chamber, told this interest during the meeting with President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Osama Tasir.

During the meeting, DCCI President Osama Taseer said that China is Bangladesh's largest trading partner and trade volume between Bangladesh and China in the financial year 2017-18 was 12.401 billion US dollars. Of this, import trade is $ 170 billion 60 thousand dollars and exports amount to 695 million dollars. He expressed hope that the trade volume between the two countries would be worth 18 billion US dollars by 2021.
DCCI president said, Yunan province has signed a very efficient production of machineries and urged the entrepreneurs of this sector to set up investment and industrial factories in Bangladesh. At the same time, he called for the cooperation of the traders of this sector of Yunan in the field of commercially floriculture in Bangladesh and diversification of flower cultivation, skilled manpower development and innovation and use of modern equipment.
Dhaka Chamber President said Bangladesh has taken "Look East" policy to further enhance cooperation with China and ASEAN countries. He said that sectors like electricity and electronics, agriculture and agricultural products, tourism, flower cultivation, medicine, communication management and sea economy etc. are very promising and in this region, the entrepreneurs of China and Bangladesh can jointly invest.

Chinese entrepreneurs expressed interest in investing in Bangladesh and setting up of factories in this sector. Besides, Yunnan province produces plenty of coffee, tobacco, rubber, flower etc. He urged Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to prioritize Yunan for import of such goods.
