Millions of Facebook passwords risk leakage

Millions of Facebook passwords risk leakage:

Internet security expert Brian Krebs has said this has failed to protect Facebook's data, BBC reported.Crabs says that the user's password of 60 crores was on Facebook's internal server that anyone could see their 20,000 employees.Every Facebook password must be encrypted, so that no one can see it in any way. But these passwords on Facebook's internal servers were kept as common text, said Krebs.
He said a Facebook activist told him about this failure of data protection. According to his commentary, Facebook employees have created applications that allow encrypted passwords to be stored as common text on the internal server.
In a statement, Facebook authorities acknowledged the failure of data protection, saying that 'a slight error' was saved in the internal server and they fixed it.

Facebook says that this issue came to their notice in January on regular security review. Later, it was found in the investigation that most of the victims were Facebook Light users.
Generally, there is a tendency to use Facebook light in slower Internet countries.
According to Facebook, millions of Facebook Lite users, millions of Facebook users and thousands of Instagram users' passwords were thus opened.
They say that these customers will be informed about the matter. But the user will be asked to change the password only if anybody has seen the password.
Facebook engineer Scott Renfro claimed that there was no evidence of these password abuse in their investigation.
For the failure to protect the confidentiality of the customer information, the Facebook authorities have to stand before the court.
Donald Trump's election campaign in the US presidential election in 2016, leaked to more than 10 million Facebook users' informational exploits last year.
After publication of the news, the UK's consulting firm Cambridge Analyktan's office was closed. Facebook's chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg was under heavy pressure. The US Senate has to face hearing in the matter.
