How to unregistered phone Comes in bangladesh | Mobile Dokan

Mobile phones are coming to the country illegally as well as legally. The number of those phones is not very low. 30 to 35 percent of the total mobiles sold in the country. This market of illegal mobiles is called gray market. Even a few days ago that was not a big one. Recently, the range of gray market has started to increase again.

btrc notice about unofficial phoneMobile market participants say that the number of illegal mobile phones entering the country has decreased during the registration of mobile phones. After the registration process of the handset stopped, it started increasing again.

According to market participants, sales of mobile phones are low in the country from November to February every year. On the other hand, the epidemic has slowed down the market.

From March the market started to get better naturally. Traders usually compensate for the loss of two Eid sales. But as the gray market grows, they fear that sales of channel products will decline.

Mobile phones are still being registered, but automatically. Any (valid and invalid) phone is automatically registered in the IMEI database (International Mobile Phone Equipment Identity) with the set.

After the inauguration of the Smartphone and Tab Fair held in the capital a few days ago, those concerned with mobile phones expressed their concerns and anxieties about the Gray Market to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications. The minister then said he was aware of the matter. He also said that he will look into the matter with all the concerned parties.

Asked about this, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications told the Bengali Tribune, "We understand the issue of gray market. But we have seen that in most cases people have been harassed during registration. When the expatriates came to the country, they brought a couple of phones. They were embarrassed to launch that mobile set in this country. We did not want to increase human suffering. We wanted the mobile set to be registered automatically when turned on. The number will also be stored in the IMEI database. Therefore, the issue of registration was given up. Maybe some sets are entering the country in different ways with this opportunity. '

He further said that the mobile sets that are entering the country illegally will be checked by the customs and the border guards. The role of the Board of Revenue (NBR) is important here. We are taking action at different times. Sometimes I also conduct campaigns.

In the markets of the country, both legal channels (channel products) and illegal channels (non-channel or gray products) are available. Many buyers are interested in buying non-channel products due to low prices. Many times these phones have problems, but not again. Those who sell non-channel products also occasionally offer warranties. The sellers said that the buyers get a lot of benefits in the channel products. Get non-channel products at lower prices. Due to this, the rate of buying non-channel products is increasing day by day. The market has grown to 35 percent. This is reducing the revenue of this sector. Because the government does not get any revenue for non-channel products.

Zakaria Shahid, general secretary of the Bangladesh Mobile Phone Importers Association (BMPIA), said, "The gray market is growing at an alarming rate in the country. The market fell below 10 percent after the government introduced handset registration. Now it has surpassed the previous position. '

He further said that three to three and a half crore mobile phones are sold in the country every year. Adding this number to the legally arrived and domestically produced mobiles would have made it even more so.

A mobile phone importer, who did not want to be named, said, "The mobile phone market has been going bad for months now. There was a possibility that the market would get better from next month. But the gray market will not let that happen. If this market is strong then sales of those of us who bring mobile phones legally will decrease. Our sales also increased as the number of illegal mobile phones decreased. In that, we were able to overcome the shocks of the Corona period.
