Tiktok removes 91 million videos in violation of Community Guidelines

TickTock, the world's leading short video platform, has removed more than 91 million videos for allegedly violating community guidelines. These videos were deleted in the third quarter of 2021.

The authority of this video platform has recently updated the Community Guidelines to further improve Tiktok accordance with the Community Guidelines. Everyone has to follow this guideline. Otherwise the video will be deleted.

Tiktok says the videos that were deleted in the last quarter of 2021 accounted for 1 percent of all videos uploaded to Tiktok. The deleted videos contained 73.9% harassment and 72.4% vindictive content. Videos have been actively removed. These videos have been removed before anyone can report them.

In the third quarter, more than 46,000 misinformation videos containing Kovid-19 were actively removed from the platform.

Tiktok authorities say a video is marked before anyone reports it and is removed in an active removal method. Some videos are removed within 24 hours of being posted on the Tiktok platform. According to a recent report, about 14 million videos have been removed in the United States and about 6 million in Russia.

Not only that, billions of fake likes, followers and follow requests have been permanently removed from the Tiktok platform as part of a crackdown on fake spam with millions of spam accounts.

Tiktok is constantly expanding their system. This results in active removal by identifying certain categories during uploads, including nudity and sexual activity, child safety and illicit activity, and controlled products.

The new system has increased the amount of automatic content removal, improving the overall security of Tiktok. In addition, the new system enables more time to focus on reviewing relevant or subtle content such as hate speech, vindictive content, harassment and misinformation.
